Hello. My name is Hannah Joy Lasonder and welcome to my website. I hope you like my website. On the left side you can find the menu. Click on the menu item to find out more about the subject. Anyway, maybe you already guessed, but making music and singing is my big hobby. On this site you can find lot's of music to listen to or films to see. Some of the music I have composed myself, together with my brother Jesse. As for now all the music is in Dutch but I will soon add some English songs! Feel free to leave a message in my guestbook. Song for movie Love her, boy [update 14-08-2008]
I entered a song writing competition and now I am selected to write a song and sing the song in one of the scene's of the new movie Love her, boy. The movie will be made in the middle of next year. If you want to read more about it follow this link: www.loveherboy.nl.

NBE 2008 [update 14-08-2008]
This year I am taking part in the Young NBE songwriting competition again. You have to write a song about a particular subject. This year the theme is My God. The winners of the song are allowed to perform on the live New Year television show of Vara Television. Do you want to read more about it follow this link: Jong NBE. Midsummernight concert with Roden Girl Choristers and Roden Girl Voices [update 23-06-2008]
Saturday we gave a midsummernight concert with the Roden Girl Choristers and the Changing Voices. And, for the first time, the Roden Girl Voices, of which I am part. It was a nice concert and despite the football match Holland-Russia there was a big audience.

Not through to the finals JSF [update 24-05-2008]
We just received a telephone call that we are not through to the finals of the Junior Song Festival. Pity!! I wish all the candidates a good time and I will surely follow it all on television. Next year I will send in a new song.

Junior Song Festival Workshop [update 12-05-2008]
Last Sunday Jesse and I went to the JSF workshop. The workshop was in Dance Acadamy Lucia Marthas in Amsterdam. We were there at 9 o'clock in the morning and we were welcomed with lemonade, cookies and lots of sweets. I ate a lot of smarties the whole day!! The whole day was also filmed for the JSF televison show and the internet. Sipke-Jan was also present the whole day and he is really friendly. We started with voice exercises and a warming up dance. Then Jesse and I had to do our performance in front of Babette. She gave us a few tips and advice. It was also filmed and Sipke-Jan interviewed us afterwards. Everyone also had to talk to a children psycologist. She asked us how we liked it and things like that. In between all the activities you had to wait a long time and we were singing with Sipke Jan and making fun. We received some very special guests during the singing and fun session!! I will not tell you anymore. If yoy watch the television show in September you'll find out. At 6 o'clock in the evening the workshop was over and on the way home we stopped by in Lemmer for Mac Donalds. There we also so Teuntje and here mother. Teuntje also did the workshop. So we had chips together which was nice. Out of the 18 songs in the workshop 10 will go trough to the television show. I hope that Jesse and I will be choosen for the show. But if not, I will certainly make another song next year. On the picture below you can see all the workshop kids.

Avro television just phoned us and told us that we won the wildcard. Thank you all for voting!!

Junior Song Festival [update 04-05-2008]
Jesse and I took part in the Junior Songfestival competition. It was really great to do. First I sang the song "Misschien Later" (Maybe Later) and then Jesse and I sang the song "Wafrika" (Water for Africa). It was a really cool day and it was nice to see Marcel and Sipke Jan from Avro television again. Sipke Jan also interviewed me and I was also interviewed by the Telegraph. Wafrika and Nu nog even niet... [update 20-04-2008]
Jippiee, good news.... Jesse and I are through to the last audition rounds (before the workshops) with the Junior Song Festival. Our song is called Wafrika. I am also through with another song which I sing alone, called Nu nog even niet (not just now). I also play piano with that song. The song which Jesse and I do together was choosen by the jury. The song I do alone was choosen through the Avro Kids online competition. The film which I made will also be played on the television during the Junior Song Festival television show. A lot of songs entered the competition and a total of 70 is choosen to go through to the next rounds. They are next week in Rhenen, in the zoo. Keep checking this site for updates ...

Muziek+
Jippiej, some more good news. Jesse and I will do the music+ class next schoolyear. We did an audition for it on the 17th of April. What is the music+ class? The music+ class is a special class for children who are talented in music. We will receive 3 hours of music per week:
** lesson 1 will be about music theory
** lesson 2 will be about playing an instrument. My first instrument is singing and my second instrument is piano. Jesse's first instrument is piano and his second instrument is singing/guitar.
** lessson 3 will be the music+ choir. Jesse and I are both in the same choir

What did we have to do during the audition? First I had to sing and play the piano. Then I had to answer some questions while the teacher was playing notes and melodies on the piano. For example to sing the highest or lowest note when he played 3 notes together. Then Jesse had to sing and play piano and guitar. After that we both had to answer some questions about music theory and then they told us that we passed the audition!!
When you are part of the music+ class you are also required to take private lessons on your main subject: singing for me and piano for Jesse. But we are already having those lessons so nothing new there ...

Junior Song Festival [update 25-03-2008]
Hello. This year I composed another song for the Junior Songfestival . Last year I also made a song, together with Harmina and Marielle. And we came quite far in the competition. This year I made a song alone and I also play on the piano. I only had 5 piano lessons sofar. So it is still not perfect. But fun to do anyway. Auditions sound of music [update 17-03-2007]
Saturday the 15th of March I did auditions for the musical "Sound of music" in Tilburg (De Efteling). The Efteling is a big amusement park in Holland and it has it's own theatre. We had to go in a little train in the parc to go to the restaurant and studio where the auditions were being held. Sipke Jan from the Avro Television and SBS6 Shownews were present to film the auditions. They also interviewed me. The auditions went really well but unfortunately I did not fit the role of Louise as I was a little bit to small.

Different news [update 12-02-2007]
Hello, here I am again. We had a computer crash so my father could not upload the site. Here is an update of all activities from the last few weeks.
The Song
The Song contest had a strange end. Two of the semi finalist did not want to join anymore so the contest was stopped right there and the jury decided that I won the contest. As a price I was allowed to sing the leader/theme song of the internet soap from Various Works Last Sunday my song was online for the first time.

audities Sound of Music: In March I can do auditions for the musical sound of music . The auditions will be recorded by the Avro television with Sipke Jan as presenter.

3rd round screentest/auditions . I am through to the next round with the film Sterke verhalen uit Zoutvloed. (strong stories from Zoutvloed) The director is Ineke Houtman and Ivan Lopez, known from the movies Knetter, Lepel, Polleke and Madelief. The screentest is Saturday the 16th of February 16. I already did 2 screentests for this movie and it is fun and exciting!!

Schoolgala We had a schoolparty and you had to go all dressed up. It was fun. See the a picture below of my brother Jesse and I. And I got a hamster for my birthday which I called Dumpy . He is very sweet. But he makes a lot of noice at night!!
 

I am through to the choir selection!!
Today (Thursday 17th of January) I did audition for the choir selection from the Roden Girl Choristers. I had to sing "solfege", which is quite difficult. But I practised it at home and I did it good. I am very glad because I very much wanted to join the choir selection!!!

The Song
[update 10-01-2007]
I am through to the finals with a song competition called "The Song". Out of the 43 pre selected songs 5 have gone through to the finals. And I am one of them!! You can read more about it on the weblog site from Carlo and Irene from Life and cooking. At the end of the 300th show from Carlo and Irene (this Sunday) the 5 finalists will be made known. Every wednesday at 7 o 'clock I will join the chatroom from Carlo and Irene en my song will be played in the live shows. Every wednesday one of the finalists with the least votes will loose, until the big final at the 16th of February. So vote for me!!. You can vote for me by clicking on the picture on the right. You can vote as of Sunday 13th of January at the end of the day.

Christmas 2007 in England
We went to England with Christmas to visit our family in Stevenage. We also went to London and we celebrated Jesse's birthday at my grandma's. I also went on the London Eye, which is 135 meters high and it took half an hour to go round. Our hotel in London was next to the London Eye with a great view. Here you can see the Big Ben. This picture was taken next to our hotel.

Jesse and I won the national publicsprice !! [update 20-12-2007]
This year Jesse and I took part again in the VARA/NBE Music composition competition. The theme for this year was "Night" and Jesse and I made the song Kind van de Nacht (child of the night). Unfortunately we did not make it to the family concerts this year and we did not expect much of it anymore. But today we were called and they told us that we have won the national publics price with the song. We are really excited about it. So everyone who votes for us: thanks for your votes!! Action for clean drinking water at my school "de Lindenborgh" [update 19-12-2007
Daphne, Esther, Jesse and I made a song for the Radio3 FM serious request action for clean drinking water. The song was already played at Radio3 FM. But now we started the action at school. You can buy cups of water and when you go to the toilet you can donate a little bit of money for the serious request action. We also do other activities and we made posters at school. Atos Origin buys my single [update 08-12-2007]
My father's company (atos origin) also bought 1500 singles to sponsor me. Read the article that it is placed on the Atos intranet, by clicking on the Atos Fish. (The article is in Dutch.) I am also registered at the Radio 3FM website. You can listen to 2 of my songs and vote for me. Select "complimenten" and then press on "STEM". If I get many votes I can make it to the top 5 and then I will be in the serious talent round. You get a lot of "airplay" on the radio and on the internet radio. Right now I am on place 101 in the top 500

Saturday the 16th of December I am going to do an audition for Fanwork Events , a musical acadamy. Also my Choir Institute starts a new program for girls between 13 and 15 years old. To enter this program you have to do an audition which will be held sometime in December.

concert with the Roden Girl Choristers [update 27-11-2007]

Friday the 23rd of November we gave a concert with the Roden Girl Choristers in Groningen, in the Martine Church. And Sunday the 25th of September we had a concert in theatre De Lawei in Drachten. We sang a requim from Rutter and a music composition from Handel. It went very well and there were a lot of visitors. It was also fun with the other choir girls. To practice and eat together. When we arrived at the theatre we (a few other choir girls and I) got lost and the choir master and my mother and some others were looking for us. But we were in another room and Anna was playing the piano and we were doing ballet. So we forgot the time a little bit ....

Friday we have a big concert with the Roden Girl Choristers in the Martini Church in Groningen. And Sunday we have a performance in theatre "De Lawei" in Drachten. We have our performance together with the Roden Boys Choir and the Friesland symphony orchestra. We worked really hard on it and I hope it will be a great concert. audition musical Ciske de Rat [update 14-11-2007] Message from Jane, the mother: Hannah did audition for the muscial Ciske de Rat last Saturday and last Wednesday. She made it all the way to the finals. Only 12 girls where left of whom 8 where going to play in the musical. Unfortunately Hannah was not choosen in the end. The jury said that she did very well. She acted good and sang fantastic. However, she was a little bit too tall and she looked to mature in comparison with the 8 girls who are going to play in the muscial. Hannah is now reserve. She is very disappointed as she wanted the role so much and worked so hard during the audition. Anyway, as a mother I also like to see her grow up and mature.

Live performance for Radio Moonlight [update 05-11-2007]
Saturday I was invited to sing live in the Fries Congress hall to promote my single. They also interviewed me. When we came home we walked with our dog in the woods. NBE Voorrondes [update 20-10-2007]
Thursday Jesse and I were invited to sing and play the song "Child of the Night" during the NBE music composition competition. We made a song about a homeless child all alone in the night. We had a very nice day. But unfortunately we didn't make it to the next round. You can watch our performance by clicking on this here.

Audition for musical Pinokkio [update 04-10-2007]
Unfortunately I am a bit too tall for the musical Les Miserables. I received a letter that you should be no taller than 1,45 m. And I am 1,48 m. Therefore we decided not to go to the Les Miserables auditions. Instead, I am through the pre-selection of the Pinokkio musical and this saturday I am going to studio 100 in Belgium to the first audition round.

county finals "Children for Children" [update 07-10-2007]
Today I went to theatre "De Tamboer" in Hoogeveen. To sing in the county finals. 12 children out of 150 children were selected and I was one of them. I had to be there at 11:30 am and it lasted all day. First we had rehearsels and at 15:00 pm the show started. I sang my song Vandaag gaan we je halen (today we will pick you up), which is about a girl who's family is picking up their adopted baby girl. It went very well. But unfortunatly I was not choosen to go through to the finals. Anyway, good luck to Rosemarijn, who was choosen. She will sing in the finals 27th of October. Musical Oebele [update 25-09-2007]
I am through the auditions for the musical Oebele and I am going to sing my new song where do you go Sunday 30th of September in theatre Lawei in Drachten.

I will sing the song Vandaag gaan wij je halen (today we will collect you) in theatre "De tamboer" in Hoogeveen Sunday the 7th of October. The song is about a family who is going to pick up there new adopted sister. This is the county final. My friend Maral (who also played the part of Fleur in the Kuifje musical) aready sang her county final last week and is through to the national final!! Congratulations Maral!!!

VARA/NBE composition competition [update 22-09-2007]
This year my brother Jesse and I composed a song for the VARA/youngNBE competition. The theme for this year is Night. Jesse and I composed the song Child of the night . It is about a little orphan girl who has no place to stay for the night. But don't worry!! Happy ending. (Wish that was true for all orphan girls). My song is recorded!! [update 16-09-2007]
Saturday I went to Tilburg to record my song Waar ga jij heen (where do you go). You can read more about my record contract by pressing on the button on the top of this page or by selecting "Record contract" in the menu.

We just received an "old" film from the RTV television. Jesse and I sang the song Paradise during the show and we were interviewed. The song Paradise was written by me and Jesse composed the music. Television Recordings [update 08-09-2007]
Tuesday RTV-Drenthe television came to visit me during my choir lessons. They interviewed me about my record contract. It was broadcasted on television on Friday september 7th. It is all in Dutch but click here to view it:TV news

Last week I went with my parents and Jesse to Hilversum to record a television program. I had to sing a song and they interviewed me. It was fun to do. Afterwards we ate "poffertjes" (tiny pancakes with powdered sugar and butter) in Laren. It was very nice. :p

[update 24-08-2007]
BIG NEWS!!!! I have a record contract with Dieseljoy/Pink records. The 15th of September I am going to studio Edisound in Tilburg to record my single. The song is written by Johan Meijers. The record will be released before Christmas and you can buy it in all the music stores in Holland. I also have to do a fotoshoot for the CD cover and I will be interviewed by newspapers and the radio. The national radio will also play it once released. Cool!!! I am very excited about it.

There is a new film on my website. During a Continentals concert in "De Doelen" in Rotterdam I sang a solo. Go to the menu and Click on my films to find it.

Next week I will go to Hilversum for a new television show from RTL4. I will sing a song with a star and the idea is to surprise someone. A famous presenter will present the show. (I don't know who yet.)

[update 09-08-2007]
The new continental Kids CD is now released. The CD is called Ik ben hier (I am here). You can buy the CD in the Christian bookstores or via the Continental Kids site. Listen to a little fragment of my solo: song ..

I am invited to the premier of the movie "De Reiskoffer" (the suitcase). the movie is from te Cliniclowns and the premier is in the Tuschinski Theatre in Amsterdam. I played a role in that movie as 'figurant'. The premier is on Saturday 29th of September.

The CD cover of the Treefestival song is ready!! CD cover

Saturday 28th of july I visited the studio from Radio Moonlight. For an interview. The interview will be broadcasted by radio Moonlight. And also 2 of my records (Think of me and Don't give up). The songs are played every day on the radio.

My brother Jesse will go on tour this summer with the Continentals. He plays the keyboard. And I will go a week to musical summer camp. I am looking forward to it. Besides muscials we will do canoeing, sports and other activities.

Sunday July the first
Today (Sunday july the first) I did an audition for the movie hoe overleef ik mezelf (HOI) . (How do I survive myself). It was fun to do. The audition was in Groningen. When I came into the room I first had to wait about 10 minutes with others. My brother Jesse also did audition. After the waiting I came into a room with a camera. I had to answer some questions and I had to act a scene. In this scene I stole a neckles from my mother and she confronted me with it. I had to deny it and become angry. When I left I received an envelope, a letter, a bookmark and the book on which the movie is based, from Francine Omen. Next month I will hear if they chose me.

Saturday, 16th of June: Kuifje Musical
This is a little report about the Kuifje muscial, in which I play the role Fleur. . The 16th of June was a matinee performance which started at 14:00 hours. I had to get up early, at half past seven! ...:S We had a quick breakfast and then we drove to Rotterdam. On the way to Rotterdam we stopped for some patrol (and airmiles :P). 2 1/2 hours later we arrived in Rotterdam. At 12:30 my nanny came to get me to help me get ready for my performance. First we went to the costumes to put my dress on. Then onwards to get my microphone attached and tested and then to the wig department to put on my wig. At 14:00 the musical started. At the scene at the station I had to come up. I was not nervous anymore because this was already my fourth performance in the muscial. After the station scene I had a little bit of time untill my next scene and I went to play table football with Zorrino and our nanny. Then I had to go to do the hospital scene, in which I sing a duet with Kuifje. The singing went well. The next scene I had to do was in the harbour, where I do a little dance with the others. After the break I played in some other scenes. In one of the scenes I play not Fleur but a girl from Peru. So I quickly had to change wigs and costumes. In the final scene I played Fleur again. I really enjoyed to play Fleur in the musical and it was a fantastic day. My father drove us back home and at 23:00 hours we were home.

Sunday June the 10th
This afternoon I played again in the New Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam. I invited some friends and family to come and see me. My friend Carmen was there with her father. Erna, Joeri and Marco were present and also Rob and Lieneke (from the Continental Kids.) My grandmother and my uncle Edwin. And my father, mother and brother (Jesse) were also present. Sunday June the 3rd
Yippie, I am through!!! . Saturday the 2nd of June I had to sing in a competition from Kinderen voor Kinderen . (children for children). I sang the song andaag gaan we je halen. . (today we will pick you up.) And today, sunday June the third, they phoned me that I am through to the county final. That it is October. I am very happy!!!!

Thursday, 31st of May
Today I had to play Kuifje again in the musical. My grandmother from England came over so we first drove to the airport in Amsterdam to pick here up. It was nice to see here again. We drove from Amsterdam to the theatre in Rotterdam and stopped on the way in a restaurant. When we were in Rotterdam we had a flat tire and my father and Jesse changed the tire. Then we went to the theatre were my nanny came to get me. My grandmother really enjoyed the musical and she also spoke with Seth Gaikema, who wrote the musical. We came home about 2 o'clock at night and we were all very tired.

Saturday, 26th of May
Today we recorded the new Continental Kids CD. It was fun to do but I am also very tired. I had to stand and sing the whole day. We also did auditions for the solo's and I got a solo!! When the CD is ready you can buy it all over Holland.

Friday 25 th of May
Today I played the role of Fleur for the first time in the Kuifje Musical. I really enjoyed it!! I had to sing, dance and act. Thursday 31th of May is the next time that I have to play Fleur.

Thursday, 24th of May
Today we went with my school class to a studio in Leeuwaren. Because we won the national tree festival with our song Stilte and rust (peace and silence) our song will be released as a CD. We recorded the song today in the studio. Look here for some pictures: Foto's opname liedje

Tuesday 22nd of May:
I was invited to the Kuifje musical premier . I went with my mother and with Jesse. It was very exciting. a girl from Belgium played Fleur in the musical. Friday the 25th of May I will play Fleur in the musical for the first time. Look for pictures in my photobook: Foto's premier Kuifje

Tuesday 15th of May:
Unfortunately we did not go through to the finals with the Junior Songfestival. We made it to the last 36 (out of more than 1400) and to the third round, the superaudition in Walibi. We were also filmed for the Avro television when we did the superaudition. But next year I will try again and I wish all the children who made it tot he final good luck and suc6!!!

The musical Kuifje is about to start now. With al the Fleurs and Zorrino's we went with the bus to Oostende in Belgium to watch the try-outs. Next week we have 3 rehearsel days. And on the 18th of May is the dress rehearsel. Then the premier will start on 22nd of May.

Monday the 14th of May I played a little role in the movie Villa Neuzenrode. This is from the Cliniclowns, an organization to help sick children. In september this movie will be broadcasted by the Avro/Zapp Television on the Dutch Channel 3. Look for pictures in the photobook: Foto's filmopname
